QR code moving box labels are useful. They are not magic.
QR can help with scanning and inventory lookup, but the visible label still needs to work when your phone is dead, missing, or under a pile of blankets.
Best use of QR for moving boxes
Use QR as a supplement: box ID, short summary, and a CSV-backed inventory. Keep the printed label human-readable.
Local QR vs hosted QR
Local QR labels are private and simple, but they do not update after printing. Hosted QR labels can update later, but they require persistence, privacy rules, and more support.
Our default stance
Start local. If people actually use QR exports heavily, then hosted inventory can become a later product decision instead of a premature support goblin.
