How to inventory moving boxes without building a whole app around it.
You need enough structure to find the coffee maker. You do not need a dashboard, subscription, and a tiny enterprise software demon.
The minimum useful inventory
Track box number, room, contents, handling flags, and notes. That is enough for most moves.
Use CSV because future-you may switch tools
A CSV is boring in the best possible way. It opens in spreadsheets, imports back into tools, and does not care what app is trending when you unpack the garage six months from now.
QR codes are optional
QR labels can help, but visible labels still matter. If someone needs a phone to know where a box goes, the system is already being dramatic.
